My story...
In February 2019 I visited Calke Abbey in Derbyshire. There was a second hand book shop there and on the shelves I found a book on dream interpretation. I'd been experiencing a resurgence in a reccuring dream and I wanted to discover what it was all about.
In the pages of that book I learnt what it was my dream was trying to tell me. That it wasn't a nightmare, as I'd thought, but a warning and a call to listen to my unconscious and to delve deeper into it, that it was here trying desperately to tell me something and I just had to listen.
It was this that was the catalyst for embarking on my journey to become a hypnotherapist.
Journey
As I progressed through my hypnotherapy course I realised how much of it related to the philosophy content of my undergraduate degree. The themes which I had encountered and connected with then still resonate with me now.
I am passionate about continued professional development as well as personal development. As such I intend to to continue to study different areas of psychotherapy, nature therapy, literature , language and creative writing.
